Pros: Great screen, Web browsing, use as a modem
Cons: no fm radio
The 3 Mobile service and their INQ mobile phone have performed perfectly for the three months i have been using it.
3 provided an evaluation of INQ phone and unlimited calls and data usage for two weeks but it was not enough time to explore the potential of the INQ which is undoubtedly a "social networking superstar". I returned the review phone and bought my own with prepaid data and calls in the $29.00 cap.. More on that later.
The INQ is a brilliantly conceived device which takes a while to use to its full potential. It is a perfect telephone, it is a camera and it is a modem that allows a laptop or PC to connect to the Internet through the extensive capital and major regional area coverage of 3 Mobile. The INQ is also a computer in itself: it connects to the Internet as a browser for Google, Skype, Facebook or MySpace with dedicated functionality.
I once bought a brand new Citroen C3 sedan and it took weeks for me to be certain that I had discovered every feature and function. The INQ is like that. The more you use it the more you find. It is a very sophisticated device.
I used it mainly for business but it would be ideal for younger people who could take it to school or university for safety purposes. Why just call the Police if you are in trouble when you could send them an email, join a car club online to get towed away or go onto MySpace to find a friend to help.
3 Mobile have payment options and caps for account customers and the growing fleet of prepaid users who like the way that you get much more than you pay for with hours of free calls to other 3 cell phones, data time and more minutes of paid calls than the cap price. The deals are great.
Now to the 3 service. I was a stroppy customer who wanted the phone delivered on time once it had been paid for in a simple process at www.three.com.au. When the phone did not arrive (owing to the fact that there are three streets with the same name in my Postcode) the people at 3 Mobile sent another to ensure that I could use the function I needed; mobile interne.
A few months later I had to use 3 service again when my laptop deleted the self loading program that comes with the phone to ensure that users can synchronise their computer with the INQ. Fearing the worst, I called Customer Care and sure enough there was an Indian accent. The call centre was located in Mumbai. I explained the situation and in a clear, polite easily understandable voice, a gentleman explained the issue and talked me (patiently) through the re installation process. Five star service there.
Summary
The INQ is a brilliant communications device. Not just for voice but for Facebook, MySpace, Free Skype calls and Internet access.
The 3 Mobile customer care and attention to requests for assistance is faultless. In fact, the people at 3 Mobile went beyond what could be expected of them.
The 3 Mobile service coverage performed perfectly for the three months that I used their service for this product review.
The INQ is ideal for everyone. It worked perfectly every time during very heavy use.

The phone looks good and i bought it because it had facebook and skype access and i have family abroad so i wanted to stay connected. I have found the phone difficult to use and becuase of the limited signal where i live, i am unable to access facebook or sykpe without a massive charge. Overall very dissapointed.
